Foot Locker is looking for a Technical Product Manager specializing in the Internal Developer Platform in Dallas. This role involves setting the strategic direction for services within an internal developer platform (IDP) by leveraging a deep understanding of modern application development. Collaborating with business product engineering teams, this position focuses on delivering valuable solutions and improving the developer experience.


This is a key role in Foot Locker's technology advancement, requiring strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence various stakeholders to meet modernization objectives.


As a Technical Product Manager for the Internal Developer Portal, your main responsibility is to create a platform vision and roadmap that continuously adds value for Foot Locker's product engineers. This involves empathizing with developers, engaging with product engineering teams, and considering organizational outcomes, timelines, and dependencies.


Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understanding and empathizing with product developers to enhance the developer experience
  • Translating needs into a compelling vision and roadmap for platform solutions
  • Partnering with senior management and engineering teams to define strategies and align stakeholders
  • Establishing mechanisms for continuous creation of solutions developers love
  • Providing thought leadership and enabling adoption of the platform
  • Defining success metrics and driving their execution
  • Keeping updated on developer platform technology trends


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Technical Product Management experience
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
  • Strong technical background in modern engineering practices
  • Passion for developer experience and productivity engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, including at an Executive level
  • Decision-making based on data and research
  • Familiarity with retail industry trends
