We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Support Team.

In this role, you will be an escalation point and lead to others technicians in addition to contributing to the excellence of the platform engineering team. You will be responsible for the overall health and performance of our platform, while also fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Automation & Orchestration: Implement automation using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bicep) and CI/CD practices for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using Bicep for repeatable and consistent infrastructure deployments.
  • Networking & Security: Manage network platforms, firewalls, VPNs, and implement policy-based routing and load balancing.
  • Azure Expertise: Deploy and administer Azure resources including VMs, WVD, Disaster Recovery, Storage, Web Apps, Logic Apps, Functions Apps, SQL Database, and Cosmos DB.
  • Incident Management: Act as an escalation point for technicians, troubleshooting and resolving high-priority incidents following ITIL best practices. Manage service requests according to change management procedures.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop, maintain, and train on documentation for standard operating procedures, best practices, and customer-specific runbooks, including automation processes.
  • Client Focus: Participate in scoping calls with clients for new service orders.
  • Interface with other departments to provide client feedback and ensure success.
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve incidents for customer infrastructure in Azure. Install, configure, and administer customer systems in Azure. Communicate technical issues and solutions to clients in clear, understandable terms.
  • Platform Management: Configure monitoring and alerting on physical and virtual infrastructure.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on migrated and greenfield environments.
  • Manage and maintain physical and virtual components (including Atmosera's management stack).
  • Perform regular reviews, document systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, IRS 1075, SOC 1 & SOC 2) and internal security best practices.
  • Technical Skills: Manage and administer Windows & Linux Servers. Configure and administer hypervisors (Hyper-V and VMware).
  • Support storage solutions (Pure, NetApps) and backup solutions (Commvault) in addition to SaaS solutions (Office 365, SIEMs, managed AV).
  • On-call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation for escalated support to meet SLAs.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting technical solutions to clients.
  • Problem-Solving & Learning: Strong analytical mind with a focus on root-cause analysis, knowledge development, and process creation.

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in support administration, specifically with Azure Cloud and an MSP background.
  • Experience with automation using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bicep) and CI/CD practices.
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator certificate required within 90 days.
  • Network platforms and firewalls (VPNs, policy management, load balancing, policy-based routing).
  • Windows & Linux server administration.
  • Hypervisors (Hyper-V, VMware).
  • Storage and backup solutions.
  • ITIL best practices for incident and problem management.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Powershell and/or Bicep.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
