The Department currently has an opening for one permanent full-time Loan Specialist 2-Bankruptcy & Foreclosure Coordinator within the Home Loans section of ODVA in Salem, Oregon.

In-Office Work – Work for this position must be completed in the central workplace. Remote work is evaluated periodically to ensure business needs are being met and can be adjusted at any time. Please visit the state's website for more information.

What you will do as a member of the ODVA team

This position will analyze and recommend a course of action that will ensure the protection and the best interest for ODVA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economic, Finance, Accounting, or related field AND three years experience analyzing and underwriting residential, commercial, or public sector loans; or three years experience in economic or community development, project development, or as a business finance officer;

OR

A Bachelor's degree in other fields with an MBA, MPA, or MA in Management with an emphasis in general accounting, cost accounting, financial accounting, financial reporting, financial intermediation, finance, or marketing AND two years experience at the level of a business finance officer or senior loan officer;

OR

Any combination of experience and education deemed acceptable for satisfactory job performance to the appointing authority.

REQUESTED SKILLS:

In addition to your related work experience and education, we will use the requested skills below to determine whom to interview.

  • Member of the Oregon State Bar Association
  • 2 or more years of demonstrated experience of bankruptcy management representing a mortgage creditor
  • 2 or more years of demonstrated experience of managing as a trustee during a non-judicial foreclosure
  • Experience in communications regarding aspects of the Bankruptcy and/or Foreclosure process to interested parties.
  • Experience in working with Mortgage Insurance companies in submitting claims for losses incurred in a foreclosure
  • Experience in property management for properties that may revert to lender at a foreclosure auction

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

As a Condition of Employment this position requires successful completion of a finger-print based criminal history background check through the Oregon (LEDS) and National (NCIC) law enforcement data systems.
