Ellsworth, an industry leading custom packager of adhesives, currently has a 3rd Shift Production Lead opportunity at KitPackers, located in Germantown, WI.

In cooperation with the Packaging Supervisors and Manufacturing Manager, the 3rd shift Production Lead will coordinate and monitor all activities of production packaging employees (packaging epoxies, urethanes, greases, acrylics, silicones, and related materials). Interact with and provide training to all employees to allow them to perform to the best of their abilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 3+ years of industrial experience and/or training. Previous leadership experience in a custom packaging environment preferred.
  • Forklift certification required
  • Schedule: 10pm-6:00am
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, emails etc.)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and lead others to achieve production, quality and safety standards, including 5S
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as a primary resource for staff to properly process Bills of Materials and signs off on the required quality documents
  • Trains production teams on machines, techniques, product mixing and/or materials
  • Stages plastics and materials at workstations
  • Assists Manufacturing/Packaging Engineers in developing new work instructions and provides group training on instructions as necessary.
  • Performs daily and weekly scale checks and train Filling Machine Operators IIIs to perform these functions
  • Reviews production records to ensure complete and accurate
  • Leads and participates in 5S and LEAN activities for the department
  • Provide backup coverage for Production Supervisors
