Systems, LLC, in Germantown, WI, is a leader in the design and manufacturer of loading dock equipment.

We have a rare opportunity for a self-motivated individual with strong electrical engineering knowledge to be primarily involved in the development and improvement of product and product designs.

Work may include creation of new products and modifications of existing products, including product line extensions.
This is a role within Systems' Engineering group.

A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Create and revise advanced models and assemblies using 3D CAD software; update production drawings in response to engineering design changes and other continuous improvement initiatives including new product development, and (ii) Work independently and manage medium to high complexity projects; work under guidance of Sr Engineers or Managers for uniquely complex projects; work independently and collaboratively to implement design and process improvement projects while regularly tracking and reporting progress.

Requires 3+ years of related experience and a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and revise advanced models and assemblies using 3D CAD software; update production drawings in response to engineering design changes and other continuous improvement initiatives including new product developmentWork independently and manage medium to high complexity projects; work under guidance of Sr Engineers or Managers for uniquely complex projects; work independently and collaboratively to implement design and process improvement projects while regularly tracking and reporting progressDevelop an advanced understanding of company products, including appropriate uses, general designs, manufacturing processes, and acceptable design modificationsAnalyze, utilize and update ERP configuration data within the company's enterprise resource program (ERP) to process complex special customer orders/ETOs and release work orders and special drawings to manufacturing and analyze data for potential new projectsDevelop an advanced understanding of engineering work flows to support production and other departmentsCreate complex engineering change notices (ECNs), distribute for approval, and process as requiredCoordinate with production to identify process and product improvements; provide recommendations for improvements to management and implement as requiredConceptualize, develop prototypes, test, and validate designs for complex products; select and test materials and components that will be suitable for productsApply engineering principles and concepts to the design process for various productsSupport technical service group in the troubleshooting and root cause analysis around product issuesComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
