The Reily Foods Company is seeking to add strong talent to our Purchasing Team The Procurement Lead will spearhead improvements in our corporate purchasing function. Strongly driven by analytics, this individual will identify and drive best practices with our valued suppliers through Supplier Performance Management (SPM) framework, KPI's and Service Level Agreements (SLA). Closely aligned with multiple cross-functions, this person will closely partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to drive improvements, cost savings, and efficiencies. A successful candidate will balance managing specific suppliers/categories while simultaneously supporting the Corporate Purchasing Director by contributing to and/or leading the continuous improvement initiatives, contract decisions/selections, and various challenges and priorities throughout the year.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, develop, and communicate strategies to suppliers. Manage supplier performance through scorecards and trace gains system.
  • Analytically identify areas of improvements and execute solutions for improved pricing, contracts, terms, minimize risks, improve speed, planning, etc.
  • Maintain and continuously update ingredient and packaging knowledge for both internal operations and co-packers.
  • Effectively ensure and monitor supplier alignment with category strategy and clearly represent/communicate the direction of the business.
  • Manage inventory position and load scheduling by rationally balancing best price, delivery, service, and value tradeoffs.
  • Plan and manage product life cycle for seasonal & product of the month items.
  • Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect.
  • Participates and practices BRC rules and regulations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years progressive purchasing experience - strongly preferred within the food industry.
  • Proven and advanced skills in negotiations, business/data analytics, and forecasting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate individually and in groups for presentation purposes.
  • Successful record of working with suppliers to improve corporate purchasing functions at multiple levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term and profitable business relationships.
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
