Pharmacy Technician - Evening

Discover why we're the best. NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital is one of the seven hospitals that comprise NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, one of the nation's leading academic medical centers. Help our licensed pharmacists provide carefully prepared medications and high-quality care to patients. Advocate for patient safety as part of an empowered team by adhering to stringent standards. Update the patient census using Omnicell pharmacy inventory automation systems. Assist with the training of students, interns and new technicians. Many of our pharmacy techs go on to become licensed pharmacists within our hospital. Pursue this extraordinary opportunity to learn, grow and achieve alongside some of the most respected professionals in the field.

This position is for Evening shift3:00pm-11:00pm (37.5hrs/wk) with weekends/holidays. The weekends and holidays could be day or evening. During the first two years of employment you maybe required to work every weekend.

Preferred Criteria
  • Experience utilizing pharmacy inventory automation systems
  • 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital environment IV compounding experience
Required Criteria
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health career Association (NHA)
  • New York State Pharmacy Technician License
