Job Summary:The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for performing inventory management, demonstrating proficiency with pharmacy equipment and systems, and assisting with pharmacy inspections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmacy policies and procedures and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications and supplies.
- Demonstrate proficiency with pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology.
- Assist with pharmacy inspections and adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures.
- Compounding medications, including chemotherapy, in a clean room environment.
- Restocking supplies for the clean room and occasional deliveries to satellite locations.
- Receiving and unpacking drug orders and supplies.
- Completing annual competency assessments and maintaining pharmacy files and records.
- Triage phone calls with courtesy and promptness and refer to a pharmacist when applicable.
- HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred.
- PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
- Strong IV compounding skills beneficial.
