POSITION SUMMARY

The Local Delivery Driver for The Restaurant Store is responsible for handling the loading and delivery of orders for local customers.

The Local Delivery Driver is expected to perpetuate high levels of customer service while navigating delivery routes and completing threshold-level delivery services.

In the event of any downtime or lapse of orders, the Local Delivery Driver is expected to serve as an Operations Professional within the store itself, assisting with daily material handling responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Properly organizing and loading picked and prepared orders into delivery vanCompleting morning and afternoon delivery routesProfessionally and politely interacting with and delivering product to customer locationsEffectively refer customers to a member of the Sales team to answer relevant questionsMaintaining general cleanliness of delivery van

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Class C license and a clean driving recordHigh school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Demonstrated knowledge of our business model and a strong work ethicBasic customer service skills and ability to function well with coworkersStrong verbal communication skills and ability to think criticallyDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/dayRequires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearingRequires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsRequires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reachingRequires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal
