SUMMARY


Paragon Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Environmental Quality Control Manager for support of the Umiat Landfill Remediation Project.

The person will act as the QC Manager on a Design/Build Environmental Remediation project.

This Seasonal full-time position is based in Anchorage, Alaska but will require remote field work in a camp situation in Umiat, Alaska.


Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Other duties may be assigned.

Create and manage project submittal registers

Assist with creating project specific Quality Control Plan's

Collection & Submission of all necessary submittals

Coordination & lead Preparatory Phase meetings

Conduct Initial Phase & Follow UP Phase Meetings as required

Assure safety requirement are strictly adhered to

Prepare and submit daily Quality Control reports as required by contract

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

This individual shall have completed the USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractor's training

Current or readily made current 40 hr HAZWOPR

IATA training


Have at least 5 years of experience related to the oversight of remedial/removal actions involving contaminated soil excavation, packaging, manifesting, transportation, and offsite disposal.

The CQCSM's experience shall also include implementation of onsite/in situ environmental remediation.

Preferred

Experience in remote locations is a camp-type setting

Must have working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Outlook

Valid Driver's License

Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with military personnel, management and colleagues,

Experience using Resident Management System

The Project Quality Control Manager duties are performed in both office and field (construction site) settings. Occasional travel may be required. It also requires adjusting work time to accommodate the project demands.


The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.

The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises direct reports.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS


As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.

If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
