Purpose of the Team:

The purpose of the Cloud Engineering team for Xbox Game Studios Publishing is to publishing builds first party games like Flight Simulator primarily through third party game studios.

Candidate Requirements

Years of Experience Required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.

Degrees or certifications required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field degree is preferred to be eligible for this role.


Disqualifiers:

Candidates with someone who has only worked on just one portion of code and is not familiar with helm, terra form, azure will not be eligible for the role.

Hard Skills Assessment Process:
The assessment process will include 2 – 3 rounds,

1st round 15-30min screen

2nd round hard skills test, 30 minutes sharing screen

Required Candidate Preparation:
Candidates should be prepared to share screens and complete technical skills test prior to the 2nd assessment.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in cloud services and infrastructure, who is passionate about security, automation, scalability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, Kubernetes, Azure cloud services, and infrastructure as code using Terraform.

Responsibilities:
– Implement and maintain security best practices to ensure the integrity and protection of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

– Design, build, and maintain Azure DevOps Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows.

– Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes on Azure.

– Provision and manage Azure cloud resources using Terraform scripts.

– Monitor and optimize the performance, cost, and security of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

Qualifications:
– Proven experience with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure, and Terraform.

– Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.

– Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.

– Familiarity with Git.

– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education:
– Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:
– 8-10 years of experience, preferably in a gaming or cloud services environment.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $67.00 to $74.44 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
