The general role for the Field Technician is to ensure the proper execution of field work and coordination of the field activities.

Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities:

  • Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports.
  • Discuss equipment and tools requirements including auxiliaries, AGM's, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares, toolbox, and all other required tools for use in the field, etc.
  • Study and analyze project information document, operation manuals, pigging procedures, and other project-related documents.
  • Establish professional contact with client's field personnel creating friendly working relations.
  • Execute field work in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in accordance with PIPECAREQA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource, and financial planning.
  • Coordinate field activities between PIPECARE team, subcontractor, client, and other involved parties
  • Perform ILI runs successfully without data loss as per API standard.
  • Conduct sufficient cleaning runs to the established PIPECARE cleaning criteria.
  • Conduct site survey and DGPs Survey in line with PIPECARE procedures and operational requirement
  • Execute all other tasks as requested by Team Leader within the assigned job role.
Accountability:
  • Timely Project execution within the assigned job role.
  • Perform and complete the job successfully.
  • Submission of daily reports.
Skills/Experience:
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant) plus 3 years of operation planning experience.
  • Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft word, excel and outlook at an intermediate level.
  • Fluency in English, the language of the Territory is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
