This is a permanent full-time state position located in our STAREBASE Academy Program in Portland, Oregon.
This position is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees' (AFSCME) union.

What You Will be Doing

Provide motivational hands-on, experiential instruction to students in compliance with the DOD STEAM curriculum while supporting/aiding program operations and functions of the Portland ANG Base STARBASE program through collaboration with superiors and peers.

Working Conditions
General the work environment is an office or classroom situation.

During base tours and outside activities, there may be exposure to high noise, hot or cold weather, and/or rain.

Extended hours standing during classroom instruction are routine.
What You Need to Qualify

Three (3) years of work experience planning, organizing, or delivering employee training programs, adult learning programs, youth instructional programs, or group presentations.

Experience must demonstrate the application of the principles and practices of learning.

OR


A bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, or related field.


OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience
