The Coatings Process Engineer will focus on technical leadership for all coating lines processes while building and retaining strong, universal technical individuals driving change for our manufacturing and technical teams across the business. This role will be responsible for mechanical process-related improvements, escalation mitigation strategies as well as emergency response.

Coatings Process Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical initiatives for coating lines, focusing on process improvements and escalation mitigation strategies.
  • Deepen process understanding and shift towards proactive problem-solving on coating lines.
  • Drive innovation and development projects related to manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Provide expert leadership on projects, resolving complex technical issues using advanced techniques.
  • Design, implement, and optimize process areas within expertise, prioritizing loss reduction projects.
  • Analyze performance metrics to improve efficiencies, identify potential problems, and develop recommendations for process improvements.

Coatings Process Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, preferably in continuous manufacturing processes like the paper industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and project management knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), quality tools, and statistics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
