Summary

The Business Development Director is responsible for achieving and supporting the sales objectives for new business.

The Business Development Director will identify, seek, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with targeted prospects and strategic clients identified in the Strategic Growth Plans and aligned with Alta Resources Strategic Mandates.

The Business Development Director will execute effective sales prospecting techniques to identify potential opportunities and promote Alta's products and services across all service lines leveraging Alta's integrated solutions.

This position requires regular travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Ability to effectively present Alta Resources' services (products) and solutions to senior-level executives at prospective client organizations and targeted existing clients.

Meet and exceed sales targets; achieve maximum sales of Alta Resources' services within the assigned account base and industry segment(s).Identify potential accounts in excess of 1MM; by present and potential dollars of revenues/profits, cost to sell and service, and probability of success.

Diligent use of the New Business Opportunity Filter and New Business process including the Pursuit Team is required. Alta Resources will expect at least two new clients per year.

Research potential customer needs and communicate learnings internally in an effective manner to determine strategic fit and if Alta Resources will pursue for a partnership.

Balance time between new client opportunities and existing client opportunities to ensure and maintain a full sales pipeline.

Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner by developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products and services, making presentations to users, making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads, act to close deals & finalize contacts, and meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals.

Participate in educating and informing prospect/client needs and Alta's services.

Keep informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to current/potential customers to include; competition, competitive issues and markets.

Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows as outlined in the Vertical Strategic Growth Plans.

Ability to understand and work within defined P&L's and budgets and be able to work within pricing structures to secure business.

Prepare and submit sales plans, forecasts, trip reports, customer profiles and expense reports as required.
Analyze/monitor data and reports.
Communicate effectively with Alta Leadership Team and work in collaboration with cross functional teams.

Regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position.

Leadership Responsibilities


Although this position will not have responsibility for direct reports, the position requires active leadership in the way of supporting strategic initiatives as well as active personal development and application of Six Sigma methodologies.

Ability to travelPossess a valid driver's licenseEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university is required. A minimum of 5 years high level sales experience (Director, VP, Sr. VP or Executive level) with proven results is a must. Experience with Business Process Outsourcing, Call Center Outsourcing, and marketing analytics is preferred.

TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE


This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes Advanced Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated abilities in advanced use of MS Excel.

CRM experience with a plus.

Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as they emerge and are needed.
