Job Summary

Croda is seeking a Financial Accountant responsible for performing the monthly analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts. Responsible for preparation of monthly analysis and reports, budgeting, forecasting, costing analysis, accounts preparation and month end close. All other duties, inclusive of project management of ad-hoc projects, as assigned by management. This is a hybrid position that allows for some flexibility to work remotely. The expectation is to be in the office roughly 3 days a week, dependent on department activities. Details to be determined with manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Duties:

Preparation of Financial Statements and Management Accounts

• Assistance of all financial data required to properly match expenses to revenues

• Preparation and entry of journal entries

• Preparation of Cash reports, monthly actuals, forecasts and yearly budgets

• Assist in month end close

Responsible for all Inter-Company Transactions Relating to Accounts Payable

• Verify accounts payable balances and prepare monthly accrual for purchases made from inter group companies

• Prepare inter-company debit notes on a monthly basis

• Responsible for verifying receipt of material and matching of purchase prices to purchase orders

• Perform data entry of invoices in to accounting system for payment.

• Initiate wire transfers to pay inter-company balance

• Monitor and initiate all foreign currency transactions for inter-companies as well as other foreign transactions

• Prepare monthly sales commissions to outside vendors or inter-company accounts

• Process expense reports

Responsible for all Inter-Company Accounts Receivable

• Confirm all accounts receivable Balances on a Quarterly basis

• Responsible for all follow up on any issues

Financial Analysis and Account Reconciliation

• Schedule accounts, analyze expenses and research discrepancies

• Complete control of accounts reconciliations where required on a monthly basis (Balance Sheet & Income Statement accounts)

• Complete bank reconciliations on daily basis

• Complete all governmental compliance surveys regarding financial information for all U.S. divisions.

• Tax Schedules & Returns

Other Ad-hoc Accounting Tasks as requested

The Financial Accountant will perform all duties within the Company's safety, health and environmental regulations. All other duties as assignment by management.

Qualifications

Education and Training:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• CMA or CPA a plus

Knowledge and Experience:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience plus Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable knowledge

Skills and Abilities

• Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Able to work as a team member and independently
Physical Demands:

Able to walk, stand or sit for a minimum of 8 hours per day. This role may require some travel.
