Atlanta Technical College (ATC) Mammography Program Adjunct Instructor (Part-Time)

ATC is looking for a qualified candidate for the Mammography Program Adjunct Instructor position in the Health & Public Safety department of the Academic & Student Affairs division, situated on Atlanta Technical College's main campus near Downtown Atlanta.

Under the supervision of the Dean of Health & Public Safety and the program coordinator, the Instructor will deliver education using various resources, focusing on adult learning styles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare lesson plans and syllabi for program courses.
  • Maintain documentation and reports for the program and students.
  • Teach mammography technology courses in a simulated industry environment.
  • Instruct theory and applications in mammographic technology.
  • Evaluate program outcomes and report to the program chair.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and curriculum requirements.
  • Adhere to FDA Mammography standards.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and college events.
  • May require teaching various classes and covering other radiology courses.
  • Demonstrate strong computer and communication skills.
  • Maintain JRCERT accreditation documentation.
  • Participate in committees and projects.
Competencies:
  • Course development, instruction, evaluation, and advising.
  • Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Administrative duties for class management.
  • Computer skills and internet knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Familiarity with JRCERT standards.
  • Current ARRT certification in radiography and Mammography.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
