As part of the Financial Reporting Quality Assurance (FRQA) Organization within Corporate Controllership, this role is responsible for enabling and promoting financial integrity across American Express's systems for the Finance organization.

Global Financial Initiatives and Integrity (GFII) team plays a critical role supporting Business and Finance driven initiatives by ensuring the ongoing integrity of the Company's accounting and financial reporting (as required by AEMP 16, American Express's internal management policy that defines a consistent standard for control and financial reporting requirements that must be established during any technology change). GFII team is organized under the following key pillars: Global Loyalty & Benefits, Network, & Banking; Global AR, Merchant, & Enterprise Transformation; and Strategy & GFII Program Management Office (PMO).

This role, Analyst-Financial Systems, will join the Strategy & GFII Program Management Office (PMO) to help drive the department's transformation activitiesas well asestablish and carry out the PMO. The colleague will support a portfolio of projects that require analysis of department processes and technology systems, defining business needs, and developing business solutions leveraging technology. This position requires strong technical and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities include:

Ability to influence and communicate with multiple levels and across the team. Support leadership team on transformation initiativesAssist in process improvement projects including leveraging technology solutions for end-to-end project lifecycle managementConduct assessments of current processes, reports, technology systems, and procedures and works with GFII colleagues to document these systems and processesTake initiative to continually develop and learn new processes and methods; quick to adapt to ongoing changes in the enterpriseSupport automation of core GFII processesDevelop a strong, strategic understanding of the GFII portfolio and be able to actively contribute to PMO activities. This includes anticipating future deliverables and collaborating across all GFII colleagues to ensure all relevant data is available on time.Leverage complex data sources to extract meaningful insights. Conduct strategic analyses to inform business decisions and actionable recommendations.Develop and automate reports/dashboards to inform partners and senior leaders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field Strong understanding of Finance and/or business systemsHigh Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio) is a requirement to aid on written and visual communication as well as analyticsExperience in Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BIStrong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to create impactful relationships with key stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously Pro-active and creative approach to solving problemsBeing self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to manage time effectively.Positive attitude and demonstrated strength as a quick learner Previous work experience in various Finance disciplines such as Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, Treasury, Tax or Banking is a plus Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
