Mechanical Design Engineer - furnace OEM

As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in furnace Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM), you will be responsible for creating innovative designs for capital equipment, fabrications, and replacement parts. Your work will not only showcase your engineering expertise but also uphold the professional image of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve, analyze, and organize design data for project requirements
  • Create comprehensive design concepts with detailed bill of materials for sales and manufacturing teams
  • Generate equipment and system layout drawings for customer review
  • Produce fabrication, assembly, and technical drawings for manufacturing purposes
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Utilize SolidWorks 3D models and AutoCAD drawings for design development
  • Compile accurate bill of materials for manufacturing release
  • Coordinate with vendors to source components meeting performance standards at competitive prices
  • Conduct professional communication with customers and stakeholders
  • Travel to customer sites for data collection when necessary
  • Support in organizing equipment manuals and other tasks assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Office tools (Word, Excel)
  • Relevant technical degree in engineering with industry experience preferred
  • Ability to travel locally and within the US as required
