Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer IV to be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.

_This position is expected to begin as soon as possible._

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepares technical specification sections.
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
  • Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
  • Present design solutions to AECOM project teams.
  • Collaborate with other team members.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • PE license in Civil Engineering
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models
  • Extensive work experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies involved in design, construction, or management of Water Resources, Site Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Wastewater or other general civil-related projects.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States. Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H1-B visa holders in the United States.
  • Valid U.S. Drivers License preferred to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices when public transportation is not available. Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in Honolulu, Hawaii. The selected candidate must be available to work in Honolulu, Hawaii on a scheduled basis.
