This position provides technical expertise and performs clinical analysis of biological specimens using various procedures and instruments in one or more sections of the laboratory. The test results aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Medical Technologist (MT) maintains and troubleshoots highly complex technical instruments.

Requirements:
  • MLT certification by ASCP, HEW, or NCA, or Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related science field.
  • Skills and knowledge in specimen collection, test methods, instrument use, maintenance, quality control, and result assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA or BS in a science field; MT degree certified by ASCP, HEW, or NCA.
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting with automated instruments.
  • Prior experience in Blood Bank, Microbiology, Hematology, and Chemistry.
