Summary

The Aviation Technology Infrastructure Supervisor manages the installation, administration, and maintenance of technology infrastructure and operations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned personnel, assign tasks, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and supervise IT systems and facilities daily for efficient operations.
  • Plan and deliver projects, manage vendors, and address issues to ensure project success.
  • Identify trends for long-term solutions, review team change requests, and ensure timely handling.
  • Collaborate with Information Security and other teams to support City departments.
  • Provide assistance on various department projects.
  • Monitor and provide solutions for customer inquiries.
  • Assist in datacenter design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Contribute to long-term technology infrastructure strategy.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide guidance and expertise to multiple team verticals, manage work performance, make strategic decisions, evaluate program effectiveness, and realign staffing as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • English grammar, bookkeeping, office procedures, and computer equipment.
  • Information security, firewall management, and networking fundamentals.
  • Compute infrastructure and employee supervision practices.

Skill in:

  • Interpersonal skills, multitasking, mathematical functions, leadership, and time management.

Ability to:

  • Meet deadlines, follow directions, organize information, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
  • Work on security compliance, installations, upgrades, and service outages analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of college-level coursework or an Associate's degree in IT or related field.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience, including supervisory role.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 9 years related experience OR Associate's Degree AND 7 years related experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years related experience OR Master's Degree AND 3 years related experience.
