Job Description:
This job is responsible for independently performing test work during highly complex audit activities for Lines of Business (LOBs). Key responsibilities include independently designing and executing audit tests, assessing issues for business impact and recommending severity ratings, and establishing business partner relationships. Job expectations include evaluating the control environment, fostering an inclusive work environment, applying product, business, and technical expertise, and supporting team members with development.
Corporate Audit is a global team responsible for providing independent assessments of business activities throughout Bank of America. As part of the Global Technology Infrastructure Audit Team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on technology risks across a wide range of infrastructure systems and platforms that supports critical financial services applications.
Candidates for this position will have a solid understanding of audit practices and methodologies, IT risk and controls, IT Governance and Management Practices, and have industry knowledge and awareness of current practices and emerging trends/risks.
Responsibilities:
Executes audit strategy for the sound application of risk-based auditing by defining audit scope and audit programs, and leverages automation and innovative methods in a timely and high quality mannerExercises sound knowledge of product, business, and technical expertise to effectively challenge management to improve the control environmentAssesses impacts to business processes, controls, and strategies to provide recommendations on severity ratings Provides input on draft audit reports and shares audit results with business leadersSupports the development of peers and teams through on-the-job-training and fosters an inclusive work environmentEstablishes business partner relationships, primarily with line management, to develop business knowledgeUses innovative tools to complete audit activities more efficiently (e.g., testing)Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 7 years in an IT Audit / Assurance role.Current Professional Audit Certification: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).Understanding of audit practices and methodologies as well as rules for professional and ethical conduct.Ability to plan and execute audit activities using a risk-based audit methodology.Ability to lead small teams in audit execution and complete audit assignments within specified timelines.Sound organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.Strong analytical skills using SQL, Excel, Python, Alteryx, or similar tools to analyze data.Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to document audit work in a detailed and professional manner and communicate results to stakeholders.Understanding of technology frameworks used in the industry (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ITSM, NIST CSF).Ability to work independently.Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Skype, OneDrive).Internal Audit ReviewIssue ManagementRisk ManagementAudit PlanningAnalytical ThinkingProject ManagementAutomationTechnical DocumentationAttention to DetailBusiness AcumenRelationship BuildingCoachingCritical ThinkingWritten Communications Desired Skills & ExperienceBachelor s degree in a technical or engineering discipline.Current Professional IT audit / risk / security certification (e.g., CDPSE, CGEIT, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, GSNA).Current Six Sigma certification.Current Technology related certification (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, AWS, COBIT, ITIL).Audit / Assurance or operational experience in Financial Services or a large-scale enterprise environment.Operational experience with one or more infrastructure technologies (e.g., Cloud Computing, Networking, Midrange Systems, Database Systems, Middleware/Messaging, Mainframe).Shift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40-
