Team Intro
Join our HR team as an Employee Relations Partner. You will join a fast-growing company and help shape our TikTok people experience.

This position will be responsible for employee relations matters, advising HR Business Partners and business stakeholders on performance management, appropriate disciplinary actions, and developing our investigative processes.

To enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department.

We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with HRBPs and people managers on ERrelated matters, including advising on employee discipline, underperformance, terminations, reasonable accommodations, complex leave scenarios, and other related matters.
  • Interpret and apply understanding of corporate policies and practices, employment law, and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, or clarification.
  • Assist in designing policy content and deliver training for employees, managers, and the HR team that ensures compliance with relevant legislative changes guides ER best practices, and helps identify strategies to enhance employee relations capabilities.
  • Manage all aspects of ER cases, including implementation of investigation strategies and risk assessment in partnership with ER Leader and Employment Counsel and HRBPs; conduct interviews, prepare reports, and owning investigation outcomes and closeout; track and prepare status updates and coordinate input from multiple stakeholders; and advise on and oversee disciplinary and remediation actions
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of corporate employee relations experience, HR compliance, and/or employment legal.
  • Expertise in investigations, consultation, guidance, policy development, and delivering coaching to address sensitive and/or difficult employee behavior and performance concerns.
  • Prior experience in designing/implementing HR compliance and employee relations processes, policies, and systems that work at scale.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in regulatory areas (i.e. EEOC, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Past HR Business Partner experience supporting Risk, Investigations, Public Policy, or similar organizational pillars within a highgrowth tech startup.
  • Excellent judgment and an ability to work autonomously to drive matters forward, while also thriving as part of a bright and collaborative team.
  • Proven ability to establish partnerships working with peers, senior leaders, and across organizational lines to provide effective and strategic employee relations support and influence without authority.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $ $228000 annually.


Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
