We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing cycle counts, correcting inventory discrepancies, and ensuring the proper identification of materials. This role involves monitoring the performance of the warehouse team, managing a small team of IC employees, and maintaining strong communication with both the production and receiving teams. Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and RF Scanners is required. A servant leadership mentality and flexibility with overtime are essential. Experience with automated storage systems is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cycle Counting: Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and maintain inventory records.
  • Inventory Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and correct inventory discrepancies, ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Material Identification: Ensure all materials are properly identified and labeled for easy access and tracking.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of warehouse team members, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Team Management: Help manage a team of 5 warehouse inventory control employees, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • SAP and Excel Utilization: Utilize SAP and Excel for inventory tracking, data management, and reporting.
  • RF Scanner Use: Operate RF Scanners to facilitate accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Communication: Maintain strong communication with the production and receiving teams to ensure smooth operations and address any inventory issues.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime and assisting in different departments as required.
  • Training: Provide training and support to team members, promoting skill development and adherence to processes.
  • Servant Leadership: Exhibit a servant leadership mentality, prioritizing the needs of the team and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Automated Storage System Operation: (Preferred) Operate automated storage systems, such as Vertical Lift Modules (VLM), to enhance inventory management efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in inventory control within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and RF Scanners.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and assist in various departments as needed.
  • Experience in training and developing team members.
  • Servant leadership mentality, prioritizing team needs and fostering a supportive environment.
  • Experience operating automated storage systems (VLM) is a plus.
