Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our team as an Entry-Level IT Technician. In this role, you will provide technical support and assistance to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about technology and looking to kick-start their career in the IT industry.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Set up and maintain computer networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide technical support to employees, both in person and remotely, by resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with user account management, including creating and maintaining user profiles and access permissions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor network and system security to prevent unauthorized access or breaches. Monitor building access control system.
  • Document and maintain records of IT-related activities, including inventory management.
  • Assist with technology procurement, including researching and recommending new hardware and software solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in onboarding/off-boarding employees.
  • Manage the company phone system.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent work experience will be considered) or 2+ year's experience in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Python experience a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
