What will your day look like?

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Month-End Close:

  • Oversee the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all month-end activities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.

Internal Controls:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Team Management:

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor aging reports and manage collections efforts.

Audit and Tax Compliance:

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review tax returns and other regulatory filings.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement financial models to enhance reporting and forecasting accuracy.

System Improvements:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function.
  • Leverage technology to streamline accounting processes and reporting.

Who are you?

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
