Position Overview

Join Neiman Marcus as a Sales Manager where you will spearhead the sales operations of specific store department(s), fostering collaboration across departments, motivating teams to achieve targets, and utilizing team expertise to create a customer-centric sales journey, all while upholding the values of Neiman Marcus. This role, based at the designated location, reports to a Senior Group Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth aligned with the company's vision and values in coordination with other department leads
  • Supervise merchandise-related activities and communication with merchant and vendor partners (e.g., presentation, returns, damages)
  • Lead team performance, proactively addressing risks and obstacles to maintain departmental efficiency
  • Contribute to the store's strategic objectives and establish departmental priorities
  • Review departmental performance with relevant Buyers to develop action plans for enhancing outcomes
  • Create and execute strategies in collaboration with Client Development Lead(s)
  • Analyze internal and external customer behaviors, trends, and preferences to tailor processes accordingly
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring adherence to guidelines for optimized revenue
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements for department and stockroom controls
  • Oversee aspects related to people management, product placement, and sales promotion within the department

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in luxury retail fashion
  • Proven track record of achieving results
  • Demonstrated ability in team building, leadership, motivation, and coaching
  • Collaborative mindset focused on team success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical requirements may include standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 10 pounds
