Job Announcement

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated network engineers with expertise in NSX-T, Zscaler, InfoBlox, DynaTrace, and VMware Infrastructure to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures. Requires in-depth knowledge of network virtualization, security, and DNS management, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues both on-premise, and in the cloud efficiently. In this position, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining NSX-T environments, ensuring robust network security through Zscaler solutions, and managing DNS, DHCP, and IP address management using InfoBlox. You will also be tasked with leveraging VMware technologies to enhance our virtual network infrastructure. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems will be a key part of your role, requiring excellent communication and teamwork skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in network engineering, with certifications such as VCP-NV, ZCCA-IA, or equivalent being highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is a proactive approach to staying current with the latest industry trends and technologies. Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:(Click on the aforementioned link to learn how Fairfax County interprets equivalencies for "Any combination, experience, and training equivalent to") Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in computer science, or closely related field; plus one year's systems programming experience in a complex information systems environment.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least three years of hands on experience with VMWare NSX-T, and virtualization including installation, configuration, and management of the environment.
  • At least three years hands on experience working Zscaler and InfoBlox technologies centered around DNS, DHCP, and IPAM's solutions.
  • At least three years of experience working with Zscaler as VPN solution, and other security solutions.
  • Strong communications and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and work on complex deployments and upgrades using change management principles.
  • Experience with other network virtualization and security solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior team members.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary, performed in a normal office environment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
