SUMMARY
As the Meat Department Manager, your main goal is to oversee and maintain a profitable Meat Department, ensuring production standards are met, and overall store welfare is promoted.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety is a top priority; this position requires drug and alcohol testing.
- Providing outstanding customer service and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Managing employee schedules, conducting training, and keeping track of sales and pricing.
- Estimating product requirements, placing orders, and handling merchandise.
- Preparing and displaying meats, performing cutting tests, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in work areas.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Meat Department Manager, you will directly supervise a team and carry out various responsibilities in line with the organization's policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, individuals must be over 18 years old and possess an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in meat handling.
SKILLS
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and effectively presenting information.
- Strong mathematical abilities including basic arithmetic and computation skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret instructions effectively.
