WSP USA Senior Lead Geologist in Saint Louis, Missouri

Your Role:

  • Demonstrate a Safety First focus.
  • Mentor and develop high performing underground hard-rock modeling and planning teams.
  • Conduct geological data compilation, validation, and interpretation.
  • Prepare geological databases, maps, and sections.
  • Lead underground hard rock mine engineering functions.
  • Prepare technical documents for Mineral Resources and Reserves.
  • Support engineering and geologic aspects of projects.
  • Apply Project Management standards to manage projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical staff.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Mentor staff for their growth and development.
  • Exercise ethical decision-making and adhere to company's Code of Conduct.
  • Provide guidance to junior-level staff.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology or related field.
  • Registered or ability to register as a Professional Geologist.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in underground hard rock geology.
  • Experience in mine operations, underground exploration, and resource geology.
  • Strong English technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in geological data analysis software.
  • Experience with geological modeling software packages.
  • Ability to deliver pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and design software.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience upholding workplace safety standards.
  • Flexible and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
