About Western Union
Embrace a role where you will lead a team of 20 and oversee both domestic and international payroll operations for Western Union. The position reports to the Vice President of HR Technology and Operations and entails shaping the strategic direction of payroll processes and systems across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a holistic global payroll strategy.
- Ensure precise and punctual payroll processing while complying with regulations and implementing best practices worldwide.
- Enhance the functionality of internal systems utilized by the payroll department through design and development initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for global employees, encompassing salary disbursements, tax deductions, and benefits management.
- Guarantee adherence to local tax laws, labor regulations, and statutory requirements in all operational countries.
- Implement controls and audits to mitigate risks associated with payroll processing.
- Optimize payroll processes globally by identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
- Analyze payroll reports to offer valuable insights on costs, trends, and discrepancies to senior management.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the payroll team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- 10-12 years of experience in payroll management, with a preference for global payroll expertise.
- Thorough understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor practices across various countries.
- Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across different functions and cultures.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and software, with a proven track record of implementing and optimizing payroll technologies.
- Analytical mindset to interpret complex payroll data and offer actionable insights to senior management.
- Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Salary
The annual base salary ranges from $175,000 to $200,000 USD, with additional long-term and short-term incentives linked to individual and company performance.
