The Driver is responsible for the timely and safe transporting of residents to various individual and group activities/functions and medical appointments. **Must be able to work flexible hours** **of occasional evening and weekends** **.**

**Essential Job Duties:**

Picks up and delivers residents to all scheduled activities and appointments where transportation is needed.

Completes a safety check of the applicable vehicle, (i.e., car or bus) before transporting residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments.

Accurately records vehicle mileage and resident attendance for all scheduled transportation.

**Other Duties:**

Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out.

Notifies coordinator of necessary repairs and vehicle malfunctions.

Immediately notifies supervisor of resident concerns, problems, or incidents.

Makes miscellaneous runs for administration errands as necessary.

Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.

Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by coordinator.

Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified.

Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by coordinator.

High school education required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.

Prefer a valid Minnesota Commercial Drivers L icense (CDL), if not will train . Must have a good driving record.

Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with the residents at all times.

Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.

Trillium Woods is a LCS Community, compliance with the LCS COVID-19 Policy is required for this position as it is for all LCS Community positions.
