About the Role:

The Senior Assistant Actuary role focuses on running the Business Plan process, analyzing results, and providing insights on business performance. It involves working with Moodys Axis modeling system, financial analysis planning, and forecasting on various accounting bases.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation and maintenance of the Moodys Axis PRT corporate model for planning and forecasting.
  • Identify and implement model changes as necessary to improve efficiency and respond to business changes.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of model results to explain movements and identify errors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide modeling support and expertise.
  • Run Business Plan processes and analyze results for communication with senior managers.
  • Ensure model control and operational improvements to increase efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Provide modeling expertise and support for internal needs.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of life insurance/actuarial experience.
  • Experience with Moodys Axis modeling and Retirement Product Modeling.
  • Knowledge of US Statutory, Tax, and IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Skills in spreadsheet and database management, actuarial analysis, and problem-solving.
