About the Job:
As a Registered Nurse, you'll deal with intricate medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain management techniques, and comprehensive nutritional support. Responsibilities:
- Provides direct nursing care following established policies and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions appropriately.
- Evaluates, updates, and revises care plans to facilitate desired outcomes.
- Serves as a primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
- Coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Assesses educational requirements of patients and family members. Offers appropriate teaching and educational materials.
- Maintains professional development through ongoing education and clinical study.
- Carries out other assigned duties.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN is preferred.
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
- Additional certifications required for specialized areas.
Work Experience:
- Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience in the specific setting.
- Previous experience in related areas is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, standing, walking, corrected vision and hearing, ability to work in stressful conditions and irregular hours, exposure to diseases and bodily fluids, and physical capabilities beyond light work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Adheres to standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment.
