Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing production, quality, compliance, cost, and safety standards at the Austin TX plant during the night shift. The key focus is to efficiently manage labor, materials, and support services to meet quality standards, production schedules, and profit targets, while also fostering a culture of respect and commitment among employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervises daily operations in the manufacturing area to achieve department objectives.
  • Recruits, trains, evaluates, motivates, and develops production staff.
  • Ensures products meet quality and customer service standards.
  • Adjusts production schedules to optimize throughput and customer service, addressing any labor or material shortages promptly.
  • Investigates and resolves root causes of quality, quantity, or processing issues, emphasizing preventive solutions.
  • Enforces safety, environmental awareness, and regulatory compliance, actively participating in safety protocol establishment and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manages critical documentation such as SOPs, Batch Records, and Exception Documents.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues promptly with minimal impact on production.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience is essential.

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum age of 18 years required.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or related fields, preferably in a supervisory role; candidates without a degree must have 6+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience in pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic manufacturing is advantageous.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Work environment includes manufacturing, clean room / gowning, and office settings.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required such as Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel requirement below 5%.
