Overview:

The Settlement Analyst will be mainly focused on review of the setup of partners throughout the various payment/settlement systems ensuring commissions, fees, and reporting are accurate and in accordance with the contract. In addition, you will review cash management cycles are established correctly and are in accordance with the contract.

Responsibilities:
  • Review all rating and settlement information setup within our internal payment system to ensure payment accuracy in accordance with the legal agreement.
  • Confirm the accuracy of key contract terms such as commissions, payment terms, and settlement frequency within our system.
  • Review all changes and updates to Card Partner rating on a period basis; ensure changes are made with the direction of a contractual change or that non-contractual changes have no effect to rates.
  • Work closely with other Settlement Analyst processors to review and correct discrepancies.
  • Ensure we maintain the highest quality standards by diligently monitoring EFT processing and related bank/payment exceptions.
  • Weekly review transaction processed to confirm rating in applied accurately (identify duplicate, incorrect rating)
  • Weekly review contract setup/changes specific to sign entry and possible duplication of rates.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in business, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in accounting, settlement, financial services, or related industry
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience performing data and financial analysis; must enjoy working with data and performing root cause analysis.
  • Advanced competency in Excel
  • Writer/designer competency of MS Access Databases
  • Experience with interpretation of contract/legal documentation.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; can communicate effectively in writing or verbally with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Good organization skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and resourcefully with minimal supervision under rigid time constraints.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced learning environment and has an ability to understand processes end to end.
  • Strong teamwork and customer service skills
  • Patient, diplomatic and collaborative working with cross functional teams
  • SQL query writing a plus
