NPosition Type ManagementJOB SUMMARYThe Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Management is a member of the Global Data Strategy, Activation & Operations team and an integral part of Marriotts CLV (Customer Experience, Loyalty & Ventures) organization.

This position will be a technical and subject matter expert in digital marketing data with a special focus on paid media marketing initiatives.

This is an individual contributor role that entails hands-on data analysis & engineering skills to build and manage cross-channel data products supporting attribution analytics, reporting and machine learning needs.

The Senior Manager will also interact with strategic partners on data integration & provide technical support to large-scale Marriott reporting and operational projects; implement system and business process changes to improve data quality; and support departmental initiatives in the areas of data governance, data management, and analytics.

The Senior Manager will also be responsible for contributing to the development of our cloud data platform by setting requirements and consulting on future platform initiatives.

We are looking for a driven individual with strong consulting skills, a SQL programming background to manage robust data pipelines and experience with cloud computing & modern data warehousing environments.

This hybrid technical management role will include collaborating with business disciplines, IT and external 3 rd parties to bring in new data engineering technologies, build and manage data processing frameworks, and help deploy analytics reports & models to production.

CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and BackgroundBachelors degree from an accredited university in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or similar quantitative discipline required (MS or MBA preferred)

Cloud Data & Project Management Certification or background desiredBusiness and Technical ExperienceFive or more years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, data warehousing, or data science OR Three or more years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, data warehousing, or data science and a Master''s degreeStrong background in SQL for data analysis and new dataset developmentExperience with digital marketing data (owned & paid media) to enable omnichannel customer experience & measurement desiredOutcome driven product mindset to architect technical solutions for complex business problems is a plusTechnical SkillsCloud Data Warehouse (Snowflake - preferred, Big Query/Redshift & traditional data warehouses considered)Cloud Data Platform (AWS - preferred, Azure/GCP/Hadoop also considered)Data Analysis/Programming languages (SQL, Python, Spark)Digital & Marketing Tech (Adobe ecosystem preferred)CORE WORK ACTIVITIESDemonstrating and Applying Discipline KnowledgeManage data product development using Snowflake SQL and/or Spark including:
