Training & Development Specialist

The Training & Development Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying and monitoring training needs within the organization. They are responsible for designing, planning, and implementing training programs, policies, and procedures to address those needs. This individual must have a high level of organization, innovation, and resourcefulness to provide support across various functional areas including HR, Safety, and Operations. Working closely with HR Leadership, this position is at the forefront of delivering top-notch training services for the Organization.
Requirements:- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct training program needs analysis to define objectives, assess current skills, identify gaps, and make recommendations.
- Design, plan, and implement sustainable training programs while measuring effectiveness.
- Review and enhance on-the-job training to improve engagement and meet changing needs.
- Keep training materials current and effective, staying updated on new training methods.
- Identify operational improvements and opportunities for enhancement through training.
- Collaborate with vendors for employee training programs and manage the training budget.
- Ensure compliance with training goals and budget, recommending efficiency improvements.
- Communicate expectations and HR policies to employees, fostering a positive work environment.
- Contribute to departmental goals, systems development, and efficient HR operations.
- Responsibilities of all Envases Employees:
- Prioritize employee health, safety, and product quality.
- Execute operations safely to protect employees and company assets.
- Maintain workforce security and uphold client confidentiality.
- Deliver efficient results while supporting team success in meeting client needs.
- Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to learn and take initiative.
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years of training management experience or equivalent in the training field.
- CPTM Certification is a plus.
- GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with graphic design abilities.
- Proficient in training processes, organization, and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on multiple projects with deadlines.
- Capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies and training methods.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work collaboratively.
- SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and web-based software.
- Quick learner of new software systems and data management tools.
- Strong typing skills and familiarity with various computer operating systems.
- HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
- Monday-Friday 6am-3pm schedule with flexibility for varying operational needs.
- Possible travel requirements for meetings, workshops, or conferences.
- ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL FACTORS:
- Primarily office-based work environment with daily contact with various stakeholders.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Ability to effectively manage stress, prioritize work, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Flexibility and independent work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
