Open Systems Technologies Corporation is currently looking for a mid-level Information System Security Officer to join their IS Security Services team.

Responsibilities:


- Ensure daily implementation, oversight, and maintenance of security practices for each IS
- Act as a liaison between system owner and IS security personnel
- Validate implementation of security controls throughout the IS lifecycle
- Develop and update system security documentation regularly
- Conduct necessary IS vulnerability scans based on risk assessments
- Create Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in response to security vulnerabilities
- Manage risks by coordinating corrective actions and tracking POAMs completion
- Coordinate system owner approvals for corrective actions
- Monitor security controls to maintain security Authorized To Operate (ATO)
- Upload security control evidence to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application
- Report changes that may impact authorization status to system owner and IS Security Manager (ISSM)
- Oversee decommissioning of ISs being retired in collaboration with system owner and ISSM

Required Qualifications:

CLEARANCE:
Top SecretA bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in a cleared facility.
Minimum 7 years' experience in computer science or Cybersecurity.

Hold at least one of the following certifications:

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Security Professional (GISP), or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or equivalent certification.
- Proficiency in operating security tools like Tenable Nessus, Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and similar applications.
