We are seeking a Program Manager who will manage delivery and quality assurance of AI policy research and Public Safety Telecommunications strategy development.

This role requires experience managing consulting projects, including development of vision documents, environmental scans, and other products to shape the future of technology implementation.


Work Description:


The Program Manager will lead the delivery of an environmental scan of Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities being piloted in the Public Safety Telecommunications sector and the creation of strategic planning documents.

This individual's impact will shape our project's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery and quality assurance of AI policy research and Public Safety Telecommunications strategy development.
  • Oversee the creation of vision documents, environmental scans, and strategic planning documents for future technology implementation.
  • Lead the assessment and environmental scan of AI capabilities in the Public Safety Telecommunications sector.
  • Develop strategic planning documents to guide AI policy and Public Safety Telecommunications initiatives.
  • Coordinate multiple complex projects for Federal agency clients, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Facilitate inperson meetings and workshops as part of project delivery, requiring occasional inperson attendance.
  • Engage with public safety stakeholders, including an understanding of 911 center operations and related policy issues.
  • Implement process improvements and innovative strategies to enhance project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with state, local, and tribal government entities, especially in public safety activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and maintain high standards of project management practices.
  • Conduct horizon scanning and develop implementation recommendations to support strategic planning efforts.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate effective communication among project teams and external partners.

Minimum Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Master's degree with 10 years of experience, or 12+ years of experience managing complex projects, including coordinating multiple initiatives for Federal agency clients.
  • Preferred knowledge of state, local, and tribal government activities, especially in public safety.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Public Trust Background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in stakeholder management and facilitating meetings or workshops.
  • Familiarity with public safety stakeholders and missions, including understanding of 911 center operations and related policy issues.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, encompassing horizon scanning, and the development of vision documents and implementation recommendations.
