Job Title: Upstream Planning Support Specialist


Company: Schneider Electric



Responsibilities:

  • Assist the assigned Upstream Planning Manager
  • Utilize Data Analytics for performance tracking of Critical suppliers
  • Participate in weekly meetings with crucial suppliers for Short/Mid/Long-term planning
  • Handle escalations from suppliers and plants


Key Roles:

  • Contribute to the development and establishment of long and mid-range planning strategies for Materials Planning Management
  • Collaborate with Procurement and operations teams to ensure efficient reorder processes and timely material deliveries
  • Work with Procurement to create collaborative business plans for essential suppliers
  • Ensure Vendor Forecast Accuracy by implementing monthly tracking and improvement processes for forecast precision with key suppliers
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement balancing service, working capital, and costs such as Vendor Managed Inventory and Upstream Flow Optimization Program
  • Manage Crisis Escalations by creating supplier escalation procedures to drive stability and prevent customer impact in case of severe shortages affecting the region
  • Monitor Supplier Scorecards to proactively address performance issues and risks by defining performance metrics and implementing enhancements


Qualifications for Success:


Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred


Language: Proficient in English. Knowledge of Spanish is beneficial

Experience: 2 years of experience in Procurement, Operations, or Supply Chain Functions. Proven problem-solving skills, experience with complex projects, and cross-functional teamwork

  • Ability to strategize and implement corporate strategies
  • Strong influencing and convincing skills, resilience in challenging situations
  • Experience in driving change, network management, and mentoring talent
  • Effective written and verbal communication for internal and external interactions
  • Decision-making ability in dynamic environments
  • Team player capable of collaborating across various functions and interacting with senior management
