Job Title: Self-Insurance Workers' Compensation Adjudicator 3 (WCA 3)

What we are searching for:
  • Experience handling a wide range of worker's compensation claims and ensuring proper benefit distribution.
  • High-paced environment experience with specific deadlines and interruptions.
  • Proven problem-solving skills for complex issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with upset or demanding customers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various worker's compensation requests ensuring decisions are made promptly.
  • Resolve worker disputes and recommend penalties if required.
  • Adjudicate complex disputes related to coverage and benefit entitlement.
  • Issue legal orders on claim allowances and denials.
  • Review and adjudicate requests for claims reopening.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Workers' Compensation Adjudicator 2 Apprenticeship program

AND

  • Six months of experience as a Workers' Compensation Adjudicator 2.
OR

  • Bachelor's degree
    AND Two years of experience in adjudicating workers' or crime victims' compensation insurance claims, or adjudication of time-loss payments.
OR

  • Equivalent education/experience.

Desired:

  • Experience in adjudicative claims at State Fund sections or Self-Insured Community.
  • Physical capability to handle items up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
