Job Description

About the Role:

As the Sr. Manager, PFP, you'll be a subject matter expert for assigned discipline area or credential Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). Collaborate across the business to govern, represent and develop credentialing exam, body of knowledge, member benefits, subject matter content, practice tools and aids/resources for members. Help monitor the profession and discipline; respond to market demands to ensure AICPA members' interests are protected through advocacy, standards setting, and growth of the section and credential. This role reports to the VP of Tax Practice and Ethics.

You Will:
  • Manage the Executive, Operating, and Credential Committees and oversee related task forces or resource panels to achieve strategic goals on growth, revenue and professional competency through the development of technical content.
  • Communicate and team with global and domestic partners to focus on implementation of discipline strategy and development of tactics, services, educational programs, resources and relationships to ensure continued competency and relevance for the discipline/credential and the Association.
  • Enhance and strengthen the discipline's/credential's strategy in connection with external relationships while ensuring effectiveness and quality of all offerings.
  • Be the subject matter expert and lead representative, both internally and externally, for the discipline/credential, including speaking to large groups in area of specialty, providing responses to member inquiries, media, exam, learning, technical and practice development questions, credential requirements, steering conference programs, and product development. Monitor legislative, regulatory and industry landscape for news and developments affecting advocacy for members, manage/support Association efforts to identify the appropriate level of action and respond.
  • Be a AICPA / Association ambassador to collaborate with and influence external accounting/discipline groups and regulators, and national / international industry associations and membership bodies.
You Have:
  • Minimum of 7-8 years related experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of the discipline's/credential's accounting principles
  • Additional expertise of the discipline e.g. tax, retirement, estate, investment, insurance, education, elder, charitable, and business owner planning
