This role is based in the United States.
Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Product leader, with proven experience in the problem space of Service / Cloud Reliability and Incident Management.

You will play a key role in influencing the strategy and execution of key initiatives for improving OCI reliability.

The role requires a wide range of skills, including demonstrating understanding of complex, highly technical tools and services in the Cloud.

As a member of the OCI Reliability team, you will define the future of services used daily by both customers and internal teams.

Thought leadership and executive direction in establishing and developing processes and methodologies to meet and execute product strategy.
Influence and work with geographically distributed cross-functional development and UX teams.
Guide functional projects from requirements through implementation.

Work collaboratively with engineering on product requirements and designs, translate business requirements into technical specifications, use problem-solving skills to get the job done.

Provide feedback to engineering on how well the product meets business and customer goals.
Engaging with internal and external customers and influencing business leaders.
Work directly with key customers to understand their requirements and devise creative solutions to their problems.
Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap; write product definitions and user stories in collaboration with stakeholders.
Gather, manage, and prioritize requirements and product features.
Create business cases and requirements for new features.
Advocate for the customer by articulating the user's needs.
Go-To-Market activities, including product positioning, collecting customer references and stories, evangelise product both internally and externally.
Provide product demos, training, and assistance for customers.
Following industry trends, market research and competitive analysis.
Driving internal or external programs to analyse gaps and increase product adoption.
Create content to help enable customer success.
Define, measure, and manage customer experience and business performance goals.
Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that might otherwise derail projects.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of Product Management experience in the software industry with 3+ years being a senior product leader in the problem space of Service / Cloud Reliability and Incident Management.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to define and shape the business strategy for large product areas.
Proven track record of successfully shipping new products in an agile environment.
Demonstrated technical domain knowledge in System Design of public cloud technologies and/or distributed systems.
Comfort with complex, constantly evolving environments. Ability to learn new technologies quickly and excel under high level of ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.

Understanding of key related technologies, such as microservice-based architectures, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST APIs, Cloud services, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.

Ability to build, drive and promote cross-team processes and achieve org-wide impact.
Previous experience with system monitoring, automation, and incident management systems.
Previous experience as a Software Engineer or Software Architect.

Hiring Range:
from $114,500 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off:
Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
