Los Angeles, California, United States Simon Wiesenthal Center Full time

About The Simon Wiesenthal Center

The Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) is a leading international Jewish human rights organization founded in 1977 by Rabbi Marvin Hier. With 400,000 member families, the SWC confronts anti-Semitism, hate, and terrorism, stands with Israel, defends the safety of Jews worldwide, teaches the lessons of the Holocaust for future generations, and serves as a thought leader in human-rights, genocide, intolerance, and hate crimes.

In 1993, the Center opened the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles to worldwide acclaim.

The Museum has served as the Center's flagship educational arm, challenging visitors to confront bigotry and racism, and to understand the Holocaust in both historic and contemporary contexts.

In addition, the Center developed Moriah Films to produce theatrical documentaries to educate global audiences. Moriah has produced 17 documentaries to date, two of which have received the Academy Award for best feature documentary, The Long Way Home and Genocide

For over 40 years, the Center has been one of the most visible Jewish organizations in the world. With a constituency of over 400,000 households in the United States, the Center is accredited as an NGO at international organizations including the United Nations, UNESCO, OSCE, Organization of American States, the Latin American Parliament, and the Council of Europe. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the Simon Wiesenthal Center maintains offices in New York, Toronto, Miami, Chicago, Paris, Buenos Aires, and Jerusalem.
