  • Salary range: $41, $69, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards seeks an Community Constituent Services Associate to be part of his dynamic team.
  • May be required to work nights and weekends.
  • Specific responsibilities include:
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships within immigrant communities such as, but not limited to Asian, South East Asian Communities, African communities, Caribbean communities, Latinx communities, etc., which lead to impactful programming and constituent services
  • Assist with communitybased outreach about resources for immigrant communities and manage relationships with immigrant communities to help with constituent issues.
  • Provide assistance and trainings for community groups and communitybased organizations to further the office's work.
  • Represent the office at public meetings, local neighborhood community projects, celebrations, and community events.
  • Performs all duties as needed to advance the work of the office and engage in intra
- agency collaboration.

  • May be required to attend day/evening Community Board meetings.
  • May be required to work special events and provide translation services.
  • Meeting, interacting and working closely with nonprofit organizations, community based organizations, etc. on behalf of the Borough President's office will be requiredMinimum QualificationsQualification Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin highly preferred.
  • Advanced working proficiency in, Microsoft Office Suite, Internetbased research, and computer skills.
  • Wellorganized, attentive to detail, assertive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude with electronic file systems or other data management system
Versed in City Government Experience communicating/ working with elected officials along with NYS and NYC agencies.

Bilingual a plus- Public Service Loan Forgiveness Residency RequirementNew York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.

However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
