Client Details

Our client is based in southern MA and a leader in the secondary packaging machinery space. They outfit CPG, food & beverage, and nutraceutical manufacturers with custom packaging equipment.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets within the assigned region.
  2. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  3. New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region, including expanding our customer base and penetrating new markets.
  4. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments, utilizing this information to refine sales strategies and approaches.
  5. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the regional sales team, setting clear objectives, and motivating team members to achieve their targets.
  6. Sales Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, such as revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  8. Customer Advocacy: Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  9. Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for sales team members to enhance their skills and knowledge of products and services.
  10. Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and potential growth opportunities.

Profile

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  2. Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably in the secondary packaging industry or related field.
  3. Strong understanding of sales techniques and strategies, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
  5. Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team to achieve their goals.
  6. Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
  7. Results-driven attitude, with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  8. Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
