Crown Staffing is searching for a press brake operator for a sheet metal contractor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The press brake operator will be responsible for setting up, adjusting and operating all sizes of press brakes to provide a wide variety of forming, notching, bending and punching operations on a diversified line of work.

This is a Monday-Friday position working 8:00am-4:30pm and pay starting at $18/hour.

  • 1 year minimum experience

_*About the Press Brake Operator Role*_

As a press brake operator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Will set up, adjust and operate all sizes of press brakes to provide a wide variety of forming, notching, bending and punching operations on a diversified line of work.
  • Set up dies and gauges, adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper angle to the capacity of the machine
  • Determine sequence of multiple pass operations to make required bends on complicated sections
  • Make set-ups for forming special shapes having single or compound radius and angle components
  • Set up fixed and adjustable punching dies and gauges for multiple and series punching
  • Work from drawings, patterns, templates and specifications
  • Use scale, protractor, dividers, radii gauges, etc.
  • Proceed with minimum supervision and instruction
