Spare Parts Coordinator

The main challenge of this role is to efficiently handle customer requests for spare parts for all models of CSI capping equipment, both domestically and internationally. As the primary contact within CSI for spare parts issues, this role involves providing proactive and reactive technical support to bottling plant customers, ensuring fast resolution of problems with CSI products. Building and maintaining relationships with customers' employees is crucial for this position.

The ideal candidate will work in a customer-centric team environment, collaborating towards a common goal, and should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Dealing with customers at all levels, particularly with plant production and scheduling personnel, and other business functions like accounting, credit, and information technology, will be a key aspect of this role. Additionally, managing the net profit of both domestic and international CSI customers is part of the responsibilities.

Furthermore, the incumbent will be tasked with overseeing external relationships with other CSI business units and external vendors.

  • Acts as the initial point of contact for CSI customers
  • Manages communication between CSI and customers
  • Enters spare parts orders into the Oracle system with 100% accuracy
  • Maintains and tracks existing orders
  • Takes ownership of customer issues until resolution
  • Offers seamless support to customers
  • Connects customers with the relevant team members for non-spare parts related issues
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with customer personnel, serving as a liaison between the customer, customer support team, CSI organization, and CSI Packaging Machinery
  • Conducts spare parts research for location, part identification, and pricing
  • Acts as an internal information source for customer support teams and CSI Packaging Machinery
  • Generates spare parts quotes for domestic and international CSI customers
  • Identifies opportunities for additional products or services that align with customer goals (sales leads)
  • Reports competitor activity
  • Notifies of any changes or modifications to customers' equipment or business situation
  • Evaluates OFC spare parts inventory, collaborating with teams or CSI Packaging Machinery to optimize efforts
  • Recommends parts inventory levels when necessary
  • Handles existing spare parts issues, rush shipment requests, and parts expediting
  • Updates CRM database with spare parts-related information
  • Conducts customer credit checks
  • Gathers financial information on new customer accounts
  • Relays customer suggestions or comments regarding needs or opportunities for product/service improvement
  • Ensures that the supply chain is aware of their food safety obligations to deliver a safe product
